Holding the Line
This original work is painted in an abstract expressionistic style. The colors are predominately pink, grey and beige. I rarely have an idea in my head as I begin to paint. Often times it's after I have finished a work that the painting speaks to me, days or months later. This painting is spiritual in nature.
I've changed the original title Pink Composition, to Holding the Line, after I read a prophetic word off the Elijah List from Sylvia Neusch regarding our identity in Christ. This is a picture of the stance we are to take as the enemy comes to assault our identities. As we hold this stance, we will hold the line of what God has claimed as his own about us, refusing to give the enemy any ground as His own. Jesus said in John 15:9, "As the Father has loved me so I have loved you. Now remain in my love." We are to remain in that place of love remembering the words he has spoken, even as the enemy advances toward us.
This painting wraps around the sides of the canvas to give it a finished appearance if you choose not to frame it.
