Paths
This is a simple and bold painting. The brown/green colors along with the white flowers among the bright greens dominate the forefront of this work. The large gray color depicts a massive mountain with a blue sky above surrounding a single white cloud.
As I laid down the dark green in this painting I became fascinated with the possibilities of this creation of mine. The large gray area spoke of a huge mountain in the distance. The painting impacted me with powerful meaning. Actually several.
One is how the Lord directs our paths if we choose to let him do so. The second is from Jeremiah 6:16, "Stand at the crossroads and ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest. Lastly is the leap of faith. The courageous jump into the unknown which in the course of a life, is required by God for some to bring us into our futures.
